One of the most beautiful villas in Corso degli Inglesi

The villa, located in Corso Inglesi and currently home to the Experimental Institute for floriculture, was built in 1893 to a design by Pio Soli.

The building with the vast park in front of it, once owned by Count Paolo Ruggeri Laderchi, who in the 1930s used it as a venue for frequent receptions for the most authoritative and prestigious people passing through the city.

It has an architectural structure of clear and happy neo-Renaissance inspiration, with protruding wings and openings of loggias surmounted by terraces, which represent a typical model of eclectic architecture, destined to be used in numerous buildings built in Italy between the late nineteenth and early twentieth century.

It currently houses the Experimental Institute for Floriculture.
