Not to be confused with the Hotel Victoria
Already Hotel Victoria and de Rome, it worked, in Corso Cavallotti, until the early seventies of the last century.
It was certainly in operation at the end of the 19th century. It had 75 rooms and a good park.
Nowadays it has been transformed and modernized as the seat of the State Police, I.N.P.S. (National Social Security Institute) and Civil Judge offices.
In the Thirties, among its employees, Dorando Pietri, the famous and unlucky marathon runner, who was the protagonist, despite himself, of the London Olympics in 1908, where he was disqualified by a controversial disqualification which cost him the gold medal.
