Built in the city centre

Inaugurated in 1874 in the presence of the Prince of Hohenzollern, it had 120 rooms and was surrounded by a large garden.

The Hotel in postcard with postage stampIt owes its fame above all to the fact that in 1876 it hosted the Tsarina of Russia, Maria Alexandrovna, who came to San Remo for the winter with her gigantic retinue.
The Hotel among palm trees

The empress, leaving, to reciprocate the city of hospitality, gave her a hundred palms that still today adorn Corso Imperatrice, named after her, as a gift.

in Corso Nuvoloni (behind the Russian Church) until a few years ago.
