A post-war vote
Located west of the town centre of Coldirodi (about 1 km. from Piazza S. Sebastiano) the election of the local church of San Bernardo as a diocesan sanctuary took place after the Second World War.
Between 1948 and 1949 during the Peregrinatio Mariae, in thanksgiving for the war dangers, the statue of the Madonna Pellegrina was placed inside the church of Coldirodi.
The present building has been entirely rebuilt in recent times even if the primitive structure dates back to the XVII century. The sanctuary is still today a destination of devotion among the inhabitants, especially during the annual festivity.
