The Church for the Polish Community
The sacred building, located in Corso Matuzia next to the "Clock Room" next to the Church of All Saints, was erected in 1914 in neo-Gothic style by the Polish Canon Giuseppe Borodzicz, who had built twenty-one other churches scattered throughout Europe.
Completely restored and richly decorated in 1945 by Monsignor Olgierd Stanislao Korybut de Daszkiewicz, it contains an impressive reproduction of the venerated image of Our Lady of Jasnagora, patron saint of Poland.
The church borders a building that for many years housed a guesthouse, first called "Polonia" and then "Mariluce",
whose proceeds were once used to maintain the temple itself. The guesthouse has been closed for some time.
